US Parish Support

Every year Hands Together participates in the U.S. Missionary Cooperative Plan whereby diocese invite representatives from Hands Together to talk about the mission work in Haiti and receive financial and spiritual support from U.S. parishes.

Hands Together partners with the Diocese of Gonaives and the Diocese of Fort-Liberte, supporting many education, agriculture, and emergency/charity projects. For this reason, Bishops Yves Marie Pean and Max Mesidor (WaWa) have appointed Hands Together as their official representatives for the U.S. Missionary Cooperative Plan.

Combined, the mission co-op appeals for Hands Together, Gonaives, and Fort Liberte average nearly 150 parishes per year from as many as # diocese. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our volunteer speaker team, we are able to share our work and our faith with thousands of people and generate approximately one quarter of our annual project budget.

The mission co-op is one of the purest, most effect ways to link our mission work in Haiti to the Catholic Church in the United States, and to channel support directly to the projects that need it.
